Celebrities have this certain appeal that they are happy and contented. However, before we delve deeper into Hollywood’s happiness, it’s important that we know what happiness really is. Should I say I am happy if I feel good for an hour, but the rest of my day is just so-so? Is being happy for 8 hours makes me a happy person? Most of us believe that happiness is not permanent. Mostly, we are not happy all day. At least, majority of us feel that way.
Happiness. The word itself can elicit a feel-good feeling. This word is characterized by a sense of deep contentment. An outlook that is cheerful. An attitude that is positive. All these characteristics are qualities of a person who is happy at all times of the day.
The world of Hollywood is studded with name, fame, and wealth. Celebrities have the purchasing power to grab whatever they want, anything they lay their eyes on. Their names are utilized to spice up a billboard or heighten the heat of news stands. The public makes use of the celebrities’ stories for their entertainment. You see, to say that they are born with a silver spoon is somewhat an understatement, as most of these celebs are pacified with gold. Therefore, they must be happy.
Despite all the fame and glamor, happiness is a feeling that is far way from most of the celebrities. Contentment is perceived as stagnation, and frustration is a trend. Most of the time they feel jealous. Most of all, peace of mind is a rare occasion. They are always bothered by painful rumors, and criticisms. In effect, they sometimes run away from their Hollywood life. Since, physically leaving Hollywood is impossible, some of them would rather use substances to experience a different kind of reality.
It is not really all about the Benjamins. Well, we cannot subtract the fact that it does affect happiness, but it is not the sole source of it. Loving oneself, and being at peace with what you have, is one source of happiness. We have different purpose in life. Also, we have different kinds of happiness. Hence, get yours, and be happy.
